Manducare:
The project for the future Professional Training School
in Maherivaratra.
TALENT SEED Onlus in collaboration with ENAIP Veneto promotes and supports the creation of a professional training school in the catering sector in Maherivaratra with the local partner LYCEE SAINT JOSEPH managed by the CONGREGATION OF THE DISCIPLE SISTERS OF THE SACRED HEART who will make the logistics available and guarantee it management, safety and cleaning: a small but important project carried out with our own resources.
MANDUCARE: THE PROJECT FOR THE CREATION OF A PROFESSIONAL TRAINING SCHOOL FOR CATERING AND TOURIST RECEPTION IN THE URBAN MUNICIPALITY OF MAHERIVARATRA - REPUBLIC OF MADAGASCAR
TALENT SEED Onlus will set up the laboratory and classrooms, will provide the management procedures, teaching materials, course design and organization of activities in collaboration with ENAIP Veneto.
An important element will be "CIBO MAESTRO", the section of Talent Seed Onlus made up of chefs who teach in ENAIP's Professional Training Schools, who will guarantee their presence at MAHERIVARATRA two months a year for the training of trainers.

Why in MAHERIVARATRA? It is located in the Grand Terre, 30 km from Ambanja, 70 km from Ambilobè and 30 km from Ankify which is the docking port from Nosy Be which, with the nearby islands, represent the most important tourist center in Madagascar with adequate infrastructure: international airport , port, road system, telephone and internet network, shopping centers and hospital.
Nosy Be has a capacity of 60,000 tourists and the season runs from April to December, tourists come mainly from France, Italy but also from China and Russia and other countries of the European Community. There are excellent tourist villages and resorts but also hotels and private homes. Due to the cost of travel, tourism is demanding quality services, especially catering which is offered in hotels and private homes where it must be qualified.
The young students, at the end of their training courses, will be able to find employment not only in Nosy Be, but also in Ambanja and Ambilobè where there are restaurants and hotel facilities as well as in Diego Suarez.

The project includes:
- Creation of a Professional Training School equipped with a laboratory and technologies suitable for carrying out training courses and activities in the catering sector.
- Activation of the following training paths:
- Three-year basic cooking courses (cooks) of 1000 hours/year aimed at young people;
- Three-year basic dining room courses (Waiters/bars) of 1000 hours/year aimed at young people;
- Short specialization courses aimed at young chefs;
- Short specialization courses for housekeepers.

Where We Stand with the Project (2023–2025)
In these first two years, we have designed and built:
The 80-square-meter cooking lab, the 40-square-meter dining hall/café, and the 40-square-meter computer lab.
We shipped a container of equipment to set up the cooking lab, donated by companies in the Veneto region.
We have designed a three-year training program for culinary professionals: the first year, for 20 students, will begin in OCTOBER 2026, thanks to the support of Liceo San Joseph.
We have established a support agreement with a network of hotels and restaurants in Nosy Be for internships, work-study programs, and job placement.
